4.4.3 Bearing Load When in normal operation the crane is in safe operation, the maximum average load of the spindle is : - The load capacity of the crane is determined according to DIN 5044-6. - The bearing load on the crane wheels is calculated according to DIN 15070. - The number of wheel/s is also taken into consideration according to DIN 15070. - When the crane is dismantled, the bearing load is 0, but not when the crane is dismantled under repair. 17.4.4.4.1 Number of Wheels When in normal operation the crane is in safe operation, the wheels on the side of the girder(s) is/are positioned as follows: - When the crane moves vertically, the wheel positions are measured from the neutral position of the crane. - When the crane moves horizontally, the wheel positions are measured from the neutral position of the crane. 17.4.4.4.1.1 If the crane is equipped with a man lift, the man lift shall be equipped with a lifting capacity which exceeds the crane capacity by a margin of 20 %. 17.4.4.4.1.2 When the crane is equipped with a man lift, the position and number of man lift hoist-poles shall be calculated according to the man lift lifting capacity, taking into consideration the position of the crane and man lift. - The hoist rope shall be positioned at approximately 30 % of the distance of the man lift from the centre of the girder. - The crane wheels shall be positioned about 20 % out of the hoist ropes, whereby the distance between the crane wheels and the hoist rope shall be approximately 40 % of the distance between the crane wheels and the man lift. 17.4.4.4.2 Maximum Load of Wheels When in normal operation the crane is in safe operation, the maximum average load of the crane wheels is : - The load capacity of the crane wheels is determined according to DIN 5044-6. - The maximum load of the crane wheels is calculated according to DIN 15070. - The wheel calculation is also made according to DIN 15070. - The number of wheel/s is also taken into consideration according to DIN 15070. 17.4.4.4.2.1 Load capacity of the crane wheel can exceed the maximum load of the crane wheels in the case of exceeding the load capacity of the crane girder in the case of exceeding the load capacity of the crane
